The people behind the till

Furniture is one of those things where the person you talk to makes most of the difference. Below is a quick introduction to who looks after which part of the business. If you don't know who to ask for, the showroom team will route you.

Showroom & sales

Our showroom team runs Monday to Saturday and is your first point of contact for browsing, ordering, finance applications and warranty queries. Average tenure is over 12 years — many of them have helped multiple generations of the same families buy their first bed, their first dining table, their last sofa.

Bespoke & design

For custom commissions — bespoke upholstery, made-to-measure storage, fitted bedrooms — the design team will visit you on site, take measurements and produce drawings before any money changes hands. This service is free for clients within Orkney mainland.

Delivery & assembly

Two full-time delivery drivers and a relief team during peak periods. They know every road on Orkney including the unmade tracks — if it can be reached, we deliver to it.

Trade accounts

Our trade and contract team looks after hospitality, holiday-let, care-home and contractor clients across the islands and beyond. See trade orders.

After-sales

For warranty queries, damaged-on-delivery reports, and finance amendments. Email enquiries@lienefurniture.co.uk with your order number in the subject line — replies within one working day.

Behind the scenes

The finance, buying, marketing and IT functions are handled from the office above the showroom. Most queries don't need to reach them; if yours does, your showroom contact will arrange the introduction.
